2009 was a good year for M&S direct
which is the website part of the group.
Sales increased by 19% reaching £324.4 million and are expected
to hit £500 million by the end of 2010/2011 and the M&S online clothing market share increased to 5.3%
from 4.5% (Fashiontrak).
They also launched international delivery with sales of M&S lingerie in France and
home furnishings in Spain soaring after the launch of their international delivery service in November 2008. The service gives
UK customers an opportunity to send M&S clothes and lingerie, as well as selected beauty products and home accessories
to friends and family in France, Germany, Spain, the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Marks and Spencer will be extending
the delivery service to more than 70 additional countries this autumn 2009.

the UK's top department stores they have a substantial range of products available online. All M&S clothing and home
products are available through marksandspencer.com, as well as some online exclusive products, totalling over 20,000 items.
Product lines include, Womenswear, Menswear, Lingerie, Kidswear, Home & Furniture, Flowers and Gifts, Wine (Plus Wine
Plans), Entertainment, Travel and Technology.
