The National friendly 50+ Plan is available to any UK resident aged 50-79 and no medical is required. Life Insurance acceptance if you qualify is guaranteed for UK residents over fifty and inder eighty.   Premiums start from £10 per month and non smokers will receive lower premiums than smokers. National Friendly guarantee that your monthly premiums will never increase. Your National Friendly life insurance premiums also stop, with continued cover, if you’ve had your policy for 10 years or more and are admitted to a nursing home for long-term care. They also offer double payout at any time for accidental death while on holiday abroad. A 60 year old male non smoker for £10 per month would receive life insurance to the value of £1,767 (figure correct @ 28/02/2010) You can choose monthly premiums of between £10 and £40 per month with the Mational Friendly 50+ plan. Once you reach the age of 90 your monthly life insurance premiums will stop but your cover continues. You can cancel your plan within the first 30 days and receive a full refund of any premiums paid. If you cancel after 30 days, you won’t receive any money. That’s because your over 50+ plan has no value except for death.
